The National Trust for Scotland, Threave Countryside Estate

Brand identity, interpretation, interactive touchscreen, timelapse video, bespoke furniture, bespoke sculpture, guidebook

The National Trust for Scotland required this large ensemble of design work to promote the wider estate at Threave, near Castle Douglas, Scotland.

The objective of the permanent exhibition is to encourage visitors to explore the estate, while at the same time offering the opportunity for those unable to explore to gain a flavour of the estate’s flora, fauna, heritage and landscape. BDS Web worked with NTS, formulating interpretation, planning, themes, educational value and evaluation of the experience.

We project-managed the complete design and installation of all parts, including a bespoke metal sculpture sign, bespoke elm bench, all panels, graphics, framework, tower with interactive touchscreen, virtual bird hide video link to bird nest and overview video of estate, touchy-feely box and 3d interactive tools.
